Lingerie: Part Deux

Happy Monday, darlings. How was your weekend?

I got a lot of input about my lingerie query on my facebook page that I found very helpful in my recent pursuit of thongs and accurate cup sizes. I thought you all might like to know what I learned there, too:

I’m intrigued by Kiki’s comment that “buying lingerie is not cheap, but this is an investment that I believe is just as important as my retirement fund and emergency fund.

I never thought about this, but why not start a “goddess fund” for manicures, pedicures, lingerie, and whatever else floats your queenly boat? I know all too well how easy it is to get swept up in our parenting, careers, or overall-feeling- badly about our bodies.

Yet lingerie is a wonderful way to keep feeling sexy, juicy, and, well, simply womanly through it all –a power that one of my teachers says we “keep under our skirts.” Only here, we literally do.

Bon journée!

I decided to take Cecilia today to join your lingerie party. Now that she is officially potty-trained (we have no diapers left) she needed some great looking panties to be proud of! wish you were here, except that would have put a damper on your lingerie shopping.

i have to add hanky panky to the above list.

Thanks for the mention! I hope my story of running in a strapless bra proves just how amazing and freeing life can be when you are properly fitted. I love your idea of creating a “goddess fund” specifically for all the little things that make us so incredible – not only does it remind us that we are worth that investment, but also worth saving up for, too! Thanks for helping us remember how important it is that Happy Women save money to treat themselves.

My blog has now moved (back) over to http://www.yogademia.com, and all the content from my former blog has been moved over as well – including my two-part series on running in a strapless bra. Come on over and check it out!
