Makeover Mondays: “Natural” Face & Eyes {Video #1}

Welcome to video tutorial #1 of Makeover Mondays (yes, I know I’m publishing this on a Tuesday–had some technical difficulties yesterday) with me and my hair & makeup guru, Jessica Licata.

She teaches you how to do your “5 minute” face (natural foundation and eyes) to bring out your best features without looking too “made up.”

This is the makeup repertoire I do for TV interviews, public speaking events, photo shoots, and any time I am going out and want to look good (without looking glammed up).

For the full back story on why I’m offering this 4-part series, read last week’s post here.

(If you’re reading this through an e-mail, please click on the title above to be able to watch the video!)

Next Monday: Video #2/ Smokey Eyes

Do you have any tips, resources, or favorite brands/colors for doing a “natural” face & eye?

And if you try this out, let us know below how it went for you and how it made you feel to “wear” it in the world.

    My favs: I like using MAC Hush it’s a shimmery light rose highlighting base that I apply to the apples of my cheeks and my eyelids for my day look… it gives an amazing dewy look. I also swear by a bit of white eyeshadow (I use a cream based one) at the brow bone and at the inner corner of my eyes, especially when I am tired, to really make my eyes pop. Those are my two tips and tricks… otherwise I keep it simple. thanks Sara!

    I just have to comment that the shaking of the camera is really distracting! Not sure why it’s happening but if it could be avoided next time, that would really help!

    Thanks!

      Hi beth! Yes, it was resting on a yoga block (no extra hands in the room) and thus it shook from time to time! Sorry if it was a distraction! :) Sara
