SHE Yoga™

(All-levels women’s yoga)

with Sara Avant Stover

Tuesdays at The Yoga Pod; 4-5:15pm

Love is who we are.  Love is also a practice. And Yoga is the means of practicing Love so that we can be more of who we truly are, more of the time. The modern, evolving woman’s blessing and challenge is to learn how to live as Love, by opening our bodies and our hearts, amidst both our genetic conditioning and whatever season of life—inner or outer—we happen to be in.

4 out of 5 yoga practitioners are women, yet very few of us have ever learned how to practice yoga as women. We do yoga like men, with an emphasis on strength, technique, willing our bodies into positions, and staying still in the center of storms.

Yet we need nurturing, yet challenging, communal practices with like-minded women. We need places where we feel safe to surrender, explore our relationships with the Divine, express our devotion, wake up the erotic currents in our bodies, open through difficult emotions, navigate growing pains, and reveal both our raw power and our vulnerability. We need encouragement to go against the cultural entrainment that beckons us to continually jump out of our bodies and into our minds. We need guidance for how to move beyond ideals and archetypes of the Divine Feminine that live outside of us and to begin to embody, embrace, and live Her as us.

This is what SHE Yoga provides.
